Newly-elected Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) chairman Bob Trubish has announced that his new term will be focused on players to help them build their dreams into reality.

Making the first media appearance after his re-election on NBS Sports during the ‘Inside Sports’ show that was hosted by Grace Lindsay Mbabazi, Trubish stressed that pool is now one of the most respected brands in the sports industry that is able to attract big sponsors.

“Pool is now one of the most respected brands in the sports industry of Uganda that is able to attract big sponsors. – Bob Trubish.

He said that he hopes the brand can be translated into a valuable product that can help players to become better players.

“Pool has a niche that appeals to all classes of people including the corporates. But we need to be able to take advantage of that so that we help players get the best out of the sport,” Trubish said.

The Pool Association of Uganda officially started its work after Saturday’s elections but will meet on Saturday to chart a way forward for the sport.

Trubish has stressed that with the sport securing Nile Breweries sponsorship and many others in the pipeline, he has grand some grand ideas about players.

“We have to work together to create a better vision for the sport by empowering them in order to fulfil our promise to them,” he said.

Although the event calendar is yet to be released, Uganda’s top seed Caesar Chandiga, is expected to travel to China for the World Heyball Masters that is scheduled between March 16 to April 3rd, 2024.
